Emma Muzzy is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally.
High School
Coming out of high school, Muzzy was a 7-time 3A high school state champ in Virginia. She was a part of 3 National Age Group record setting relays on the Virginia Gators, and was a high-school All-American from 2014-2018. She also graduated as the valedictorian of her graduating class.
Muzzy was ranked the #14 recruit in SwimSwam’s 2018 NCAA Recruit rankings for the class of 2018. On June 2, 2017, Muzzy announced her verbal commitment to swim the NC State.

Muzzy made an immediate impact for the wolfpack. At her first ACC Championships, she pulled an impressive double on the 3rd day of competition, placing 3rd in the 400 IM (4:08.89) and then coming back at the end of the session to place 7th in the 100 back (53.35). On the last day, Muzzy touched the wall first in the 200 back, registering a 1:51.66 to mark her 1st ACC title as well as help the pack to the ACC team title.
At the NCAA Championships, Muzzy placed 36th in the 200 IM, 32nd in the 400 IM, and 20th in the 200 back.
