David Armstrong:
David was born in Norwalk, Connecticut before moving to Thousand Oaks, California. He grew up swimming for Class Aquatics and later attended Thousand Oaks High school. While at Thousand Oaks David was CIF champion in the 100 fly and the 50 free. After graduating from Thousand Oaks, David attend Brigham Young University for his freshman and sophomore years, before transferring to Duke University. David has continued his butterfly career, but is now training backstroke and sprint freestyle as well.
Club:
David swam for Class Aquatics in California where he was a masters champion in the 100 butterfly, and a US Open qualifier.
College:
2011-2012:
As a freshman at BYU, David won the 100 fly, breaking the conference record, and was third in the 200 fly at the MPSF Championship meet.
2012-2013:
During his sophomore year at BYU, David was seventh in the 100 fly and sixth in the 200 fly at the MPSF Championship meet. He was also a part of the 400 medley relay that placed 2nd at the conference meet.
2013-2014:
David did not compete this season.
Personal:
David is majoring in Psychology at Duke and aspires to work in merchandise and retail.
