Daria Pyshnenko is a competitive swimmer. Her father, Vladimir, was a four-time Olympic medalist from Russia, winning one gold and two silvers at the 1992 Games in Barcelona and one silver at the 1996 Games in Atlanta, while her mother, Natalya Meshcheryakova, won bronze at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

Pyshnenko was a Two-time IHSA (Illinois) state champion (2015: 50y free, 100y free).

2017-2018
At the Big Ten Championships, Pyshnenko finished 6th in the 100-yard Freestyle (48.70), 10th in the 50-yard Freestyle (22.39) and 47th in the 100-yard Butterfly (55.90).
Pyshnenko attended the 2018 NCAA championships as a relay alternate, where she swam on the 200-yard Freestyle Relay and 400-yard Freestyle relays.
2018-2019
At the Big Ten Championships, Pyshnenko finished 3rd in the 100-yard Freestyle (48.53), 4th in the 50-yard Freestyle (22.23) and 41st in the 100-yard Butterfly (56.06). She also swam on Michigan’s winning 200 and 400 free relays.
For her performances, she was awarded All-Big Ten (First Team).
At the NCAA Championships, Pyshnenko finished in a tie for 31st in 50-yard Freestyle (22.42). She also contributed to Michigan’s All-American 200 and 400 free relays.
