Ivy Martin – the B1G record holder – has done it again!

Martin swam a season best time of :21.61 while placing second in the 50 yard freestyle. Although the Badgers did not have the performance in the 200 free relay that they had hopped for, Martin had an incredible last 50 free.

But the real secret behind this badger’s success, is her consistency.

In 2012…

• Martin swam a :22.60 in prelims and in finals to take third at B1G’s.

In 2013…

• NCAAs: 22:10 at prelims, 22.03 in finals to take sixth
• B1G Championships: 21.84 at prelims, 21.86 to take first
• Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Championship

In 2014…

• NCAAs: 21.92 at prelims, 21.79 to take fourth
• B1G Championship: 21.58 at prelims, :21.68  to take first
• Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Championship

In 2015….

• NCAAs: 21.57 at prelims,:21.61 at finals to take second
• B1G Championship: 21.69 in prelims, :21.65 in finals to take first
• Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Championship

Unfortunately, this was Martin’s senior year and she swam her fastest time at B1G Champs. in 2014.
