Behind the Scenes with Bellevue Club Swim Team en Route to WJ West Championship

2019 SPEEDO WINTER JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS – WEST

The Winter Junior Championships are about two things: swimming fast, and having fun. The Bellevue Club Swim Team in Washington state did both at the West version of the meet. In the pool, they topped the combined-gender scoring at the meet in a runaway. Their 502 points were 160 ahead of the runners-up from the Scottsdale Aquatic Club.

The team was led by 47 individual points from Ethan Dang and another 43 from Gracie Felner as evidence of their success in ‘swimming fast,’ and team members Cayla Prophater and Nathalie Valdman documented the ‘having fun’ part with a music video below.

My son loved his two years at BCST! Love seeing coach Andrew in this. Coaches Dwight and Dwayne had a big impact in my son’s swimming….or maybe it was Klaas’s post morning swim chocolate milk. Loved the coaches, kids, and parents. Great times! Happy for your continued success! Cheers from Mason, OH.
