Earlier this month, TYR invited members of the media and dealers from around the United States to their headquarters in Seal Beach and we were there. The excitement surrounding the unveiling of TYR’s new technical suit, the Avictor, was evident from the first step into the building. Just like the design and testing of the new suit – TYR went all out for this launch. Yes the suit is big deal – from the unique, eye popping design to the fabric and bonding; swimmers will undoubtedly be interested in this suit. But what was equally exciting was the massive 70,000 square foot warehouse facility (that is merely one of two TYR has in Southern California) showcased the size and magnitude of TYR’s worldwide operation. SwimSwim photographer Mike Lewis captured some of the behind the scenes of what happens daily at TYR.

Tyr’s new headquarters are in Seal Beach. Their original longtime headquarters and existing warehouse are in Huntington Beach on Springdale St, which is just adjacent to Marina High School. Marina is home of Jamie Cail, former Florida Gator and US National teamer, and Nick Soedel, current Utah free sprinter and PAC 12 100 free champ. Both multiple CIF-SS Div I champions.
Hi. This is Jamie Cail. I never went to Florida. I did however attend USC and the University of Maine during my time in the water. My time in Florida was spent in High school@ The Bolles School for Greg Troy., maybe this is where the mix up occured. Thanks.
