Two-time Junior National Team breaststroker Olivia Anderson verbally committed to the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, October 4th. She’s another part of an incredible group of swimmers with the Aquajets in suburban Minneapolis who rolled through the National Age Group Record books.
Anderson specifically was the breaststroker on the following National Age Group Record breaking relays:
- 11-12 200 yard medley
- 11-12 400 yard medley
- 13-14 200 yard medley
- 13-14 400 yard medley
- 15-16 200 meter medley
- 15-16 400 meter medley
Indiividually, Anderson also holds the National Age Group Records in two individual events:
- 11-12 50 yard breaststroke (29.23)
- 11-12 100 yard breaststroke (1:02.86)
Fast forward to the present, and Anderson is still one of the best breaststrokers in the class. She has yards bests of 1:01.03 and 2:14.86 in the 100 and 200, respectively, with a 1:09.0 and 2:35.7 added in meters.
Anderson has a significant resume. She’s been on the Junior National Team each of the last two years, and is the 4th-qualifier in the 100 breaststroke on the current 2014-2015 team. In 2013, she was 10th at the World Junior Championships in the 50 breast and 6th in the 100 breast.
Other Aquajets to commit this fall so far include Courtney Evensen and Kylie Dahlgren to Missouri, Kaia Grobe to Minnesota. Former Aquajet Heidi Katter, who was on some of their NAG Record breaking relays, also committed to Yale.
Anderson also swims for Edina High School scholastically.

Isn’t Olivia Anderson a dual USA-Canadian citizen? There’s always a strong Alberta-Texas connection.
You might be thinking of Olivia Anderson, the 15-year old Canadian distance freestyler from Etobicoke Swim Club in the Greater Toronto area. She was at a number of US Grand Prix’s with the Canadian Junior and Ontario provincial teams last season. Great swimmer with a great future.
