The 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship, hosted by Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, is set to begin tomorrow evening with timed finals of the 200 medley and 800 free relays.

Prelims and finals sessions will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Note that Daylight Savings Time began in the United States last weekend, so if you are trying to follow the meet from outside the U.S., you might need to adjust your calculation of the time difference.

Are there single day or single session tickets available? I am only seeing that the GT website has all session passes for purchase.
Is the switch to only finals for relays a permanent change for all the divisions? I’d be sort of sad if it was, the strategy of prelims relays always seemed like a fun part of the sport to me.
I like the finals only relay set up. The meet is hard enough and half the teams went slower in finals anyway when they had prelims-finals. I’d also like to see four teams per heat so it’s easier to catch those fly kicks on breaststroke!
Please get certified to be a stroke and turn judge. Then, work your way up to refereeing NCAAs. Hopefully, I will be dead by then.
How many times are you going to permit this poster to accuse a swimmer of cheating?
I agree, the fun as a fan was to see who got in the A final or who was “down” or even out! But it does even the playing field between the haves and have nots. Only a couple very deep schools can play around with prelim relays and “save” studs for finals. Plus no need for alternates. Let’s see how it plays out!
D3 is apparently doing their relays as Prelims and Finals this year.
