Is there interest in Chris Plumb for these roles?

I would think most of these programs want to get someone hired in quick order but what is the realistic deadline in order for someone to properly prepare for the upcoming season? Obviously some of these programs are still using interim coaches but who wants to commit to a school where program is in so much flux? Not to mention the current swimmers who are worrying about what is going to happen next.

Once again, the George Mason HC job has been vacant for a year.

The AD / school do not care one bit about swimming and diving. Not even a little.

Question of the century: Why should they?

What does having a swim program bring to your university?

The university is supposed to serve the student, not the other way around.

Full price tuition as many swim programs don’t offer athletic money

6 lane 25 yards? Lol come on Penn State. Just build a run of the mill lowest cost 50 meter pool, something to train a full team in and attract recruits. Hard to get faster crammed in a pool like that. Dont they have the biggest alumni base? Whoever is the new coach better start snuggling up to some boosters and get a pool built asap

I honestly thought I was looking at the warm down pool before coming to the comments

But they have an outdoor 50 meter pool (that is mothballed 8 months a year…)

The 6-lane 25-yard in this pic is small. Pic also doesn’t show their 25m pool to the left of this image and the outdoor 50m facility.

An outdoor 50 meter pool in Pennsylvania. Not very helpful for most of the year. Also, training SCM isn’t helpful for a SCY NCAA season.
