Wake up early. Really early. Grab pre-workout food. Head to the pool in the dark. Finish training. Go to school. After school, go to the weight room for dryland. Then back to the pool for another round of training. And repeat.
Sound familiar?
Such is the life of Djordje Mihajlovic, a “Trinidadian/Serb swimmer living [the] student life in Kenya” (according to his YouTube bio). But it is also the life of swimmers everywhere: you can relate whether you live in North America, in South America, in Europe, in Asia, in Australia/Oceania, or elsewhere in Africa. That’s what binds swimmers; they have all been there.
Watch Djordje’s video and spend a day in his shoes, on the other side of the world, and yet… in a very familiar place.
