The women’s 5K followed the men’s race on a perfect morning with smooth, clean water and very light winds. Haley Anderson and Eva Fabian traded off leading for most of the course, with Tristin Baxter challenging them on the last lap. Anderson pulled ahead in the last stretch toward the finish line, while Baxter and Fabian battled for second place. The next pack finished a minute behind the leaders in yet another sprint to the finish.
