Former U.S. Olympian Josh Davis dominated the sprint events in his 40-44 age group at Masters Nationals over the weekend. Here he catches up with SwimSwam’s Mike Lewis to talk about the thrill of competing with his childhood hero Matt Biondi.
Davis broke Masters national records in both the 50 and 100 freestyles.

Well said, Josh. Masters Nationals–especially the outdoor ones–remind me of the summer meets when I was an age-grouper. Everyone having fun outside the pool, but great racing in the water!
Matt Biondi was also my hero back in 1988 Seoul Olympics ! i will never forget those swimming moments .
