DU Swimming Hosts Utah for Senior Meet and Diving Travels to Air Force

DENVER – The University of Denver swimming team will host the University of Utah for its annual Senior Meet at El Pomar Natatorium, while the DU diving team will travel to Colorado Springs for the Air Force Diving Invitational on Friday.

 

The DU men’s swimming team will close out the weekend with a second dual meet on Saturday at Air Force.

 

This will be the first meeting between Denver and Utah in the 2013-14 season. The last time the Pioneers and Utes met, the Denver men came away victorious while the DU women were defeated. Tanner Krall (Pueblo, Colo.), Kyle Milberg (Littleton, Colo.) and Dylan Bunch (Boulder City, Nev.) each tallied a pair of individual victories in the win. On the women’s side,Bridgette McNally (Lone Tree, Colo.) took first in the 400 IM (4:24.63).

 

At the Air Force Diving Invitational, Denver’s men will face Air Force, BYU, Colorado College, UNLV, Texas A&M, Utah and Wyoming and the women will go up against Air Force, Boise State, BYU, Colorado College, Colorado State, Idaho, UNLV, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, San Diego State, Texas A&M, Utah and Wyoming.

 

The points scored at the Air Force Diving Invitational will go towards Denver’s total points in the swim meet against Utah Fridaynight as well as the men’s swim meet against Air Force on Saturday.

 

Diving starts in Colorado Springs at 9:30 a.m. MT and senior swimmer recognition starts at 3:15 p.m. MT, while swimming will start at 3:30 p.m. MT at El Pomar Natatorium on Friday. On Saturday, DU men’s swimming squad will join the Pioneer divers for a meet against Air Force starting at 1:00 p.m. MT.
