Futures Qualifier Emilie Mosner Commits To Monmouth For 2024-25

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Emilie Mosner has announced her commitment to swim and study at Monmouth University, beginning with the 2024-2025 season. Mosner is from Lititz, Pennsylvania, where she attends Manheim Township High School and swims for Five Star Swim Club.

“I chose Monmouth not only because of its amazing location by the beach but also because of the team culture and amazing academic opportunities. They seem to also truly value the mental side of swimming which is something I find vital in a program. It is comprised by such a driven group of individuals, who work hard inside and out of the pool. I couldn’t imagine a better place!”

Mosner is a breaststroke specialist with Futures qualifying times in both the 100 and 200. She recently represented her high school at the Pennsylvania High School State Championship (3A), where she finished 5th in the 100 breast with a personal best time of 1:03.23. She was also the breaststroker on her team’s 10th place medley relay, where she contributed a split of  29.03 in finals.

Over the course of the past short course season, Mosner has managed to lower her personal best in the 100 by over two seconds, as she came into the season at 1:05.33. Her 200 has seen less improvement, with her personal best standing at 2:21.82 from last spring.

Her summer was highlighted by the Middle Atlantic Championships in July. She established personal best times in all three of her events, with her highest finish coming in the 200m breast at 13th overall (2:46.93).

  • 100 breast – 1:03.23
  • 200 breast – 2:21.82

Monmouth, led by head coach Matt Nunnally, recently finished 9th out of 9 teams at the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championships. Mosner has the potential to be an A-finalist for Monmouth, as her best time in the 100 would have been just one spot shy of qualifying for the championship final this year.

The team’s top performer in the 100 breast was sophomore Isabella Aguanno, who recorded a time of 1:06.27 en route to a 9th place finish at the ECAC Winter Championships. Aguanno also led the way in the 200 breast with a season best of 2:21.22 from CAAs.

With her commitment Mosner joins New Jersey native Katie Ryan in Monmouth’s incoming class next fall.
