Towson University senior diver Alex Cohen of the men’s Tiger swimming and diving team was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Diver of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Cohen earned the award after leading the Tigers (4-1) to a momentous 163.50-128.50 win over Old Dominion last weekend.
“We still have a lot of work to do, but we are learning and improving each week,” Towson Head Diving Coach Maureen Mead said.
Cohen scored 268.20 points in three-meter diving competition and 280.13 points on the one-meter board to win both events.
In was his third weekly honor of the season.
The Tigers head to Fairfax, Va., for a meet against George Mason and College of Charleston beginning Friday at 4 p.m. The two-day meet continues through Saturday.
Dickson Claims Second CAA Award of Season
Towson University junior diver Lyndsey Dickson of the Tiger women’s swimming and diving team was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Diver of the Week, the league announcedon Tuesday.
Dickson earned the award after leading the Tigers (5-0) to a momentous 199-101 win over Old Dominion last weekend.
“We still have a lot of work to do, but we are learning and improving each week,” Towson Head Diving Coach Maureen Mead said.
Dickson scored 297.83 points in three-meter diving competition to place second and placed third on the one-meter board with 238.58 points.
In was her second award of the season.
