2023 WORLD AQUATICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Canadian teenager Summer McIntosh continued to shine at the international level, winning gold in the 400 IM and 200 butterfly as well as bronze in the 200 freestyle. She also helped anchor Canada’s 4×100 women’s medley relay on the final night of competition, after winning the 400 IM earlier in the session. Notably, her 200 butterfly win and 200 freestyle bronze medal set new World Junior Records, lowering her own from earlier this year.

Yawn….Yes, after Titmus broke the 400mWR and McIntosh failed to medal that is the sensible conclusion…..BTW Titmus is still getting faster in all her events….

One bad race who cares the year before the olympics is meaningless next year could be entirely different.

Got beat in the 200 and lost a rank in the 800, summer will be faster and stronger in a year with a much more favorable schedule and time zone in paris.

I think Summer and her coach were using this meet as a way to test things out to try to be better prepared for Paris
