Louisville Swim & Dive Gears Up For Thursday Dual With Tennessee

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville swimming and diving team returns home this week for a dual meet against Tennessee on Thursday, Oct. 20. The Cardinals will compete against Tennessee’s men’s and women’s teams starting at 2 p.m. ET at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.

The Cardinals are 1-4 against the Volunteers all-time, with their last matchup at Tennessee ending in a loss (107-176 women; 142-158 men).

Recently, the Cardinals finished third overall (women) and fifth overall (men) at the two-day SMU classic in Dallas, Tx.

Junior Gabi Albiero currently sits at No. 2 in the nation with a 50 meter freestyle time of 22.17 and a 100 meter freestyle time of 48.08. Senior Christiana Regenauer is sixth in the 50 meter freestyle with a time of 22.41 and fifth in the country in the 100 meter freestyle with a time of 48.85.

Paige Hetrick is second nationally in the 200 freestyle and Rye Ulett is ninth in the 500 freestyle.

Freshman Guy Brooks ranks seventh in the nation in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:34.94. Denis Petrashov is ninth in the 50 breaststroke, fifth in the 100 breastroke, and eighth in the 200 breastroke.

Dalton Lowe is ranked in the top-10 for both the 50 fly and the 100 fly this season.
