Lolo Jones, celebrity track and field hurdler turned Winter Olympic hopeful, answers this monumentally important question via a Vine Video:
If you think you know how to get a date with Michael Phelps, share with swimswam. Email us your thoughts. We’ll compile them and post.
LOLO JONES
I’m not sure if building a pool will work in Lolo’s favor (re: getting a Phelps date), but if she makes the 2014 US Winter Olympic Team in bobsled, Phelps will probably attend and cheer her on.
Lolo was the face of the 2008 Olympic Track and Field Team in Beijing. Beautiful, intelligent, with a heart-wrenching childhood journey out of poverty and dysfunction, she was (and is) why we enjoy tuning in to watch the Olympic drama unfold every four years.
Lolo was the favorite to win the 100 meter hurdles in Beijing and led 80 meters of the race, until catching her foot on the second to last hurdle. She stumbled out of the top three and has been chasing the dream of being an Olympic medalist ever since.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Lolo was 4th. Now she’s making a run at bobsled for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and she’s very honest about her goals. See her HBO Real Sports profile here:

Phelps is teasing us with a comeback. See the image he posted to Twitter/Instagram with coach Bob Bowman here:
Phelps is doing things smartly…manage expectations of the public. The longer he plays coy about the comeback, the easier it will be to deny he is in top form, good shape, etc. Any fast times or wins will just be a cherry on top.
The fact that we report on this nonsense. Mike I love you like a brotha, please come back and put the debate to rest!!
Lolo is one of the few people I follow on twitter because she frequently cracks me up. Her tales of frozen snot and elevator malfunctions during bobsled season were hilarious.
Michael is still doing a lot of pictures for his signature Spa pools products ; he must still get in tune with the water and with Bob Bowman . Nice pic by the way .
Pretty sure Sally Pearson was favourite but ok
Pearson was the 2012 favourite, never a favourite in 2008. She won a very suprising silver medal in 2008
