Former Harvard swimmer Miki Dahlke picked up a new Olympic Trials cut in the 50 free, swimming a 25.83. Dahlke finished 2nd in the women’s 50, chipping 0.27 seconds off her previous best, and touching under the Wave I standard of 25.99. NCAP 17-year-old Tatum Wall won the event, swimming a personal best of 25.73. The swim marked an improvement of 0.24 seconds for Wall, who already had the Wave I cut.
Jakob Frick, an NCAP 18-year-old, swam under the Olympic Trials Wave I cut in the men’s 100 breast for the 2nd time in the past few weeks. Frick won the race with a 1:03.25, touching off the 1:02.63 he swam 2 weeks ago, but was still under the Wave I standard of 1:03.29.
Aris Runnels, a 17-year-old NCAP swimmer, who won the women’s 100 backstroke on day 1, won the women’s 200 back in 2:19.15. The swim was huge for Runnels, coming in well under her previous best of 2:23.21.
