Stanford’s Harbilas, Cal’s Reynoso Earn Weekly MPSF Women’s Water Polo Honors

CHLOE HARBILAS OF STANFORD MPSF/KAP7 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Stanford junior Chloe Harbilas (Newport Beach, CA/Corona Del Mar HS) scored a team-high five goals over two games as the Cardinal opened their season with a 1-1 split at No. 5 Arizona State (Mar. 6-7).

After scoring just once in a tight loss in the opener, Harbilas keyed the Stanford offense in game two, scoring a game-high and career-high- tying four goals on seven shots. She was also a factor on defense by picking up two steals. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Harbilas, earning a newcomer honor in 2019.

MALLORY REYNOSO OF CAL MPSF/KAP7 NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK

California freshman Mallory Reynoso (Tustin, CA/Foothill HS) had a terrific all-around game in the No. 5 Bears’ 11-10 win over No. 9 UCSB (Mar. 6). Reynoso recorded one goal, two assists, three steals, and a field block to help Cal stay unbeaten. This is the first career MPSF honor for Reynoso.
