MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine swimming and diving team will have its last scheduled road meet of the regular season this Saturday, as the Waves travel to Loyola Marymount for a triangular meet against the Lions and the Westmont Warriors.

Saturday’s meet at the Burns Aquatic Center is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. PT. The meet will not be livestreamed officially, nor will live stats be available.

LAST TIME AGAINST LMU AND WESTMONT

At this point in the season, Pepperdine is fairly familiar with both LMU and Westmont, as both teams have traveled to Malibu to swim against the Waves. Pepperdine has bested both teams already this season: The Waves picked up wins over LMU (Jan. 16) and Westmont (Feb. 12), both by margins of at least 100 points in dual-meet scoring. Additionally, Pepperdine’s relays are undefeated against PCSC teams this season.

Both LMU and Westmont are Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference members; Pepperdine will see both of them at the conference meet, held from April 14-17 at a location that has yet to be determined.

WINNING WAYS

So far, sophomore Emily Morton (Golden, Colo./Lakewood HS) and junior diver Paulina Holmberg (Apple Valley, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) have earned PCSC Athlete of the Week honors. Morton took home Athlete of the Week honors for Jan. 11-17; Holmberg won it for Jan. 11-17 and Jan. 25-31.

As a team, Pepperdine also earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors for the twelfth-straight semester. The Waves averaged a 3.59 GPA in fall 2020.
