GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke’s Sarah Foley has named ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week, and teammate Maddi Pullinger has been selected as the Diver of the Week. On the men’s side, NC State’s Hunter Tapp has been named ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, and North Carolina’s Anton Down-Jenkins has been selected as the Diver of the Week.
A freshman from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Foley won all three of her races in a tie against No. 24 Virginia Tech. She posted NCAA B cuts in the 100 and 200 breast, as well as the 400 IM.
Pullinger swept the springboard events in the tie with Virginia Tech. The junior from Sydney, Australia, scored a 301.58 in the 1-meter event and a 324.53 in the 3-meter competition.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Tapp recorded two individual wins and added a third exhibition win in NC State’s victory over No. 24 North Carolina. The sophomore won the 50 and 100 free and placed first in the 150 free.
Down-Jenkins won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events in the meet with NC State. The junior from Wellington, New Zealand, scored a 379.88 on the 1-meter and a 396.00 on the 3-meter.
