Molly Kennedy, a high school senior from Ashburn, Virginia, has committed to swim for Division II Florida Southern College. Kennedy will graduate from Stonebridge High School in spring 2021 join the Moc’s class of 2025.
Kennedy currently swims for Nation’s Capital Swim Club, along with swimming for her high school team at Stonebridge.
Kennedy is the first swimmer from the class of 2021 to commit to Florida Southern. She specializes in distance free, and at the 2019 PVS LCM Championship, she placed 2nd in the 800-meter freestyle.
She is also a three-time Virginia state finalist, where she won the 500 freestyle her sophomore year.

At the Sunshine State Conference Championships with the Mocs, Kennedy would have placed 12th in the 1650 freestyle with her current best time of 17:47.99. She also would have been Florida Southern’s fastest mile swimmer at that meet.

At the SSC Championships, the Mocs placed 5th as a team. Ten team members were Scholar All-Americans and the team was given a CSCAA Scholar All-American rank.
