Swim Atlanta’s Jasim Abu-Dan Commits to DII Lynn University

For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Jasim Abu-Dan, a current high school senior from West Valley City, Utah, has committed to swim for Division II Lynn University under head coach Niki Alvarez. Abu-Dan will graduate from high school in spring 2020 and join the Fighting Knight’s class of 2024.

Abu-Dan currently swims trains with Swim Atlanta in preparation for his college swimming career.

Abu-Dan will add depth in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly once he joins Lynn. This year at the 2020 Sunshine State Conference Championships, Abu-Dan would have been the Fighting Knight’s second fastest 200 freestyle and third fastest 100 butterfly swimmer with his current best times.

Best SCY Times:

• 200 freestyle – 1:53.02
• 500 freestyle – 5:06.39
• 100 butterfly – 57.32
• 400 IM – 4:35.73

This year at the SSC Championships, the Fighting Knights placed 7^th.

Abu-Dan will begin his swimming career at Lynn University fall 2020.
