Adam Peaty of Great Britain, reigning Olympic gold medalist and world record holder in the men’s 100m breaststroke, has revealed via social media that he will be a father by the time next year’s Summer Games roll around.
25-year-old Peaty and his partner, 22-year-old Eirianedd Munro (Eiri), posted an ultrasound photo of the child they are expecting this September. That date would have been after the 2020 Olympic Games, had they not been postponed due to the coronavius (COVID-19) pandemic.
Peaty’s post begins, “So The Sun decided to publish something this morning, without any attempt to contact me or my team. Something very personal and, in doing so, tried to tarnish a very special moment in my life.
“I will not allow this to happen.
“I’m over the moon to announce that Eiri are I pregnant, we are expecting our baby in September. I wanted to release this news next week when we are having our scan and will find out if it’s a boy or a girl but that has been taken completely out of our control,” says Peaty, referring to an article appearing in The Sun.
The Sun report indicated that the pair met via the dating app Tinder and had been on two dates.
“Please don’t believe everything you read as this story is far from accurate. I already feel the overwhelming love that I have for our child and nothing will take that away from me. I can not wait to become a father and the challenges and joy it will bring!”
Peaty trains at Loughborough, while Eiri is studying fine arts at the University.

If Adam does not tell us , you will have to go to their Parish church every principal service where 3 weeks prior o the wedding they read the Banns. Report back .

I guess tabloid papers don’t need to contact the affected party they just scour social media for juicy stories .. so I guess the message is be careful what you post on social media if you don’t want the media to publish the information .. not saying Adam is at fault but thats how these tabloids get their money these days by being the first to report
