Megan Hanson Commits to Swim for Rhodes College

Megan Hanson, a current high school senior from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, has committed to swim for Division III Rhodes College. Hanson will graduate from Signal Mountain High School in spring 2020 and join the Lynx’s class of 2024.

Hanson is a current year-round swimmer for the McCallie GPS Aquatics.

This year at the 2020 SAA Conference Swimming and Diving Championships with the Lynxes, Hanson would have had multiple finals performances with her current best times. She would have placed 10th in the 50 freestyle (25.35), 100 freestyle (54.41) and the 100 breaststroke (1:10.06).

  • 100 backstroke – 1:03.99
  • 100 breaststroke – 1:10.06
  • 100 butterfly – 1:04.18
  • 200 IM – 2:14.29

At the SAA Championships this year, the Lynxes placed 3rd as a team with 11 team members earning All-SAA honors.

Hanson will begin her swimming career at Rhodes College in fall 2020.
