“Swimming Federation of India ka head office jo ki Ahemdabad mein hai, hum aquatic centre banane ka plan kar rahe hai yaha par swimming ke liye ek excellence centre ka,” Swimming Federation of India ke CEO, Virendra Nanavati ne kaha, ye unhone newly constructed ke club ke suvidha daure ke kinare par kaha.
News ko confirm karte huye SFI ke vicepresident aur acclaimed coach Kamlesh Nanavati ne Mirror se kaha, “Yes, hum aquatic centre ko one of the centres of excellence ki tarah dekh rahe hai aur hum is baare mein Sports Authority of India se baat kar rahe hai.”
State of the art
Is decision ka state swimming mein bahot hi bada impact ho sakta hai kyu ki isse state swimmers ko ek top class 50m olympic size ke swimming pool ka benefit le paayenge aur wo bhi usme puri modern facilities bhi hongi.
Ye centre sirf aquatics se bahot jyada hoga. “Aquatic centre ke alawa, jo ki acclaimed coach Kamlesh Nanavati ke dwara handle kiya jayega, hamare paas Pullela Gopichand’s Badminton Gurukul bhi hoga jisse yaha par badminton centre bhi start ho sake. Hum TransStadia ke saath bhi tied up kar rahe hai jisse hum football field, tennis courts, basketball courts, ek 400m running track, volleyball, long jump aur cricket ki facilities bhi provide kar sake,” Jigesh Shah, jo ki ek promoter hai unhone kaha, “Waha par squash, martial arts, table tennis, billiards along with a gymnasium jaha par koi bhi Yoga aur aerobics practice kar sakta hai,” unhone kaha. “Future mein, hum various state sports championship bhi host karne ka sochenge.”
