Yes, le Clos is also undefeated in this event, but no it was not enough to bring Energy closer towards the Roar’s lead heading into the skins. Although a 6-7 finish from the Centurions, they remain ahead of the Iron despite Bentz’s 4th-place finish.
It’s interesting that Energy Standard will be tapering for the final and hasn’t Dressel also said he’ll taper as well? I wonder if all the teams will.
Do not understand why this guy gets so much flack. He is a character, sure, and very matter of fact, (Never met a Saffa who isn’t tbh) but I know a few swimmers who’ve trained with him and by all accounts he’s a top man – Really nice and a lovely family too.
Congrats to him and all the best in Vegas.
He gets it for the same reason Schooling gets it.
Y’all really can’t be happy for another person outside of the country. Le Clos beat Michael Phelps in that pool. THE Michael Phelps. It’d be a bit odd if he didn’t find any amount of motivation from that feat alone, not including all the fans he had cheering him on through the race.
He’s an amazing swimmer. Leave him be.
‘It’d be a bit odd if he didn’t find any amount of motivation from that feat alone.’
Ask Joseph Schooling.
Dudes gonna get destroyed in his 2 pet events next years. He needs this
We’ll see. Never count him out. Obviously the race is for silver, but he could definitely get that. Kenderesi, Seto, and Urlando will make it hard, but we’ll see.
The way he has swam it since 2016 limits how fast he can go. if he wants to get back to 1:52 he has to pace it way better, and even then he’d only be good for silver at best. If he tries to fly and die he can maybe get bronze
Luca will eat him for lunch
This one time. I beat Phelps.
People very rarely have anything worldly on their grave stone but man , surely this MVP European ISL DERBY 2019 should be an exception . IUnfortunately for Chad graves will all be vertical by then & it won’t fit on the necessary narrow column headstone . Maybe heiroglyphics .tho .so it won’t be lost in history .
Chad is a bit of a goofy dork, but the people who attack anyone who dares to say anything even tangentially related to Phelps that can be construed as negative are ridiculous.
Le Clos is a great swimmer in his own right, the disrespect shown here is laughable.
Someone had to say it. It’s the same defensiveness that drives a lot of comments disparaging Schooling.
Agreed. And defensiveness is the best of it. Xenophobia is the worst of it. Not the best look.
