ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville swim and dive defeated Georgia Southern, 192-108, Saturday at the Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center. The Bulldogs 192 points are the most points they scored in a meet this season.
The 1 meter diving event took place Friday evening at the Jewish Community Center. Jessica Brock highlighted that event as she once again set a school record in the 1m dive with a score of 173.90. Megan Almond dove in the event and finished with a score 113.10 while Liv Pattimore made her Bulldog debut with a score of 68.35.
The freshmen quartet of Bela Stuart Vieira, Jessie Frank, Nora Segurola Larrinaga and Delaney Carlton claimed 11 points and set a UNC Asheville freshman record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.59.
In the 200 medley relay, the quartet of Segurola Larrinaga, Christina Marshall, Anna Nabors and Carlton claimed 11 points for UNC Asheville by taking the top spot with a time of 1:48.33.
Senior Skylar Rogan claimed the top spot and secured nine points in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:35.14. Rogan finished the event 21 seconds quicker than the second place finisher.
The Bulldogs swept the 200 freestyle by taking the top three spots and claiming 16 points. Adee Weller finished first with a time of 1:54.63 and Bela Stuart Vieira finished second with a time of 1:55.33. Jessie Frank claimed the third spot with a time of 1:57.25.
Nora Segurola Larrinaga claimed a first place finish in the 100 backstroke by finishing in under a minute with a 59.26. Christa Jones and Lexi Federico finished third and fourth with times of 1:01.79 and 1:04.42, respectively.
Christina Marshall secured nine more points for UNC Asheville with the top spot in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.18 while Alexis Baker added to the Bulldogs’ point total with a third place finish with a time of 1:10.02.
Seniors Catherine Allen and Madison Rogan took the top two spots in the 200 butterfly. Allen finished first with a 2:06.98 while Rogan wasn’t far behind with a time of 2:08.98.
Freshman Bela Stuart Vieira finished first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.66 and Nora Segurola Larrinaga claimed the first place spot in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.13. Jessie Frank took the number two overall spot in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:10.02.
Amelia Ham took another first place spot for the Bulldogs with a time of 2:30.10.
Skylar Rogan and Catherine Allen secured the number one and two spots in the 500 freestyle. Rogan took the top spot with a 5:08.54 while Allen finished 10 seconds behind in the second spot with a time of 5:18.38.
The Bulldogs swept the 100 butterfly with Madison Rogan finishing first with a 58.50, Anna Nabors finishing second with a 58.58 and Christina Marshall finishing third with a 59.00.
Madison Rogan claimed another first place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.56 while Christina Marshall finished the event in third with a time of 2:14.70.

What’s Next?
The Bulldogs will compete in two meets next weekend. UNC Asheville will travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. for a conference matchup with Gardner-Webb, Friday, November 8, before returning home to host Brenau, Saturday, November 9.
