Women’s Euro League, Preliminary Round – Draw

Here is the draw, conducted in the LEN Office in Nyon today.

According to the rules, teams from the same group in the qualification round cannot meet each other in this stage. The top two ranked teams shall qualify from each group to the quarter-finals, where first and second seeded teams will be drawn against each other.

Also note, that teams having played in the 2019 Final Four tournaments booked automatic berths for this preliminary round to their respective national federations which then nominated their highest ranked teams based on their national criteria. (This is the explanation why Orizzonte enjoyed a bye in the qualification round as it won the Italian league, though Padova played in the Final Four.)

Playing dates for the prelims: 30 November-1 December.
