Andrew Abruzzo is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally. He is a 3-time Jr world champion and 2-time Pan American champion.

Abruzzo was an immediate impact get for the bulldogs. He finished 7th in the 400 IM (3:47.43) and 11th in the 500 free (4:16.35) and 1650 free (15:06.98) at the SEC Championships. He also swam on Georgia’s fifth place 800 free relay team.
After qualifying at the Georgia last chance meet, Abruzzo competed in the 400 IM (30th, 3:46.16), 500 free (32nd, 4:17.37) and 1650 free (35th, 15:07.46) at the NCAA Championships.
National/International Competition
2017 World Jr Championships (Indianapolis, Indiana)
In Indy, Abruzzo swept the distance freestyle titles, taking wins in the 400 (3:49.19), 800 (7:54.58), and 1500 (15:06.48).
2019 Pan American Games (Lima, Peru)
Abruzzo won the 400 free (3:48.41) and 800 free (7:54.70) titles at the Pan American Games. He also finished fifth in the 1500 free (15:22.93).
