Day two of the Danish Short Course National Swimming Championships in Copenhagen highlighted more of Danish Swimming’s young stars.
17 year old Morten Bak Hansen broke three Danish Junior National records in one evening. The first was in the 50 meter backstroke where he broke the 6 year old record of 25.31 set by Mathias Gydesen. Hansen touched in a time of 25.21.
Later in the evening as part of his club’s 4 x 50 medley relay Hansen broke his own record posting a relay split of 24.87.
Hansen’s final record of the night came in the 4 x 50 medley relay where his team made up of Lasse Pittioni, Tobias Gjerløff and Sebastian Merrildgaard finished in a time of 1:41.83 surpassing the old mark of 1:42.00 set by Elite Svøm Esbjerg in 2009.
European Short Course Swimming Championships finalist Chris Christensen also had a good night winning both the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke.
