Note: later in the evening, USC’s Louise Hansson swam the fastest-ever 100 fly of 49.34.
Her previous personal best in the event was a 51.38, set at the 2018 AM 57th Annual Christmas meet, where it was ranked #8 on the all-time 17-18 rankings.
Bray first rose up in the rankings at the 2018 US Nationals, where her LCM 100 fly (58.08) ranked #3 on the all-time 17-18 rankings.
Hansson’s swim doesn’t bump Bray down a spot, she was already faster
Be interesting what ages each of these Top 10 where when they achieved these times. Isn’t Hansson 22 and Bray just a junior in High School (17?)?
But note these are just their fastest times, not all of their times. A lot of these swimmers have swam 49s or low 50s a few times, some in different years when they were younger (of course none under 19)
Yes, hence why the article says performers, not performances.
That’s massive for Texas
your list is missing Hansson (even before tonight’s record)
Dude. I thought Torri Huske’s 51.2 was impressive (granted Huske is a sophomore)
Well damn
