Kenyon Women and Men Overtake Emory for #2 Spots in CSCAA DIII Ranks

Both the women’s and men’s team from Kenyon College inched closer to the top the CSCAA’s TYR Top-25 rankings in the organization’s December edition. The women moved from the No. 3 spot in the November edition to No. 2 in December, while the men leapfrogged both Emory and Johns Hopkins, going from 4 to 2. Denison’s women and men held steady in their No. 1 spots.

The rankings on the women’s side also saw former No. 6 NYU move into the top 5, and former No. 12 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps into the top-10. On the men’s side, the top-10 remains relatively unchanged outside of Kenyon, with the significant shakeup coming from the 11-25 spots.

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) have released their third TYR Top 25 Dual Meet Swimming and Diving Poll of the 2018-19 season.  The Denison men and women claimed the number one spot for the second poll in a row.

On the women’s side, Kenyon, Emory, NYU, and Johns Hopkins round out the top five spots. On the men’s side Kenyon, Emory, Johns Hopkins, and WashU complete the top five.  In total, twenty-eight men’s and thirty-three women’s teams earned votes.

The poll aims to measure the top teams in head-to-head competition.

The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and the next polls are scheduled for release on January 30 and February 27.
