We’ve seen a bunch of transfer movements this NCAA off-season, and there are two more big ones that have taken place. Camryn Forbes, after her freshman season with Indiana, is transferring to Pitt. Meanwhile, Bailey Andison is heading to IU after finishing three seasons with Denver.
CAMRYN FORBES
Forbes was a standout YMCA swimmer in high school, and she wound up scoring in the 200 back at the 2018 Big Ten Championships for IU. She also raced the 200 IM and 100 back at those championships, but her only lifetime best during her time at IU came in the 200 IM (2:00.23).
Forbes is from Butler, Pa., and Pitt is just about an hour’s drive south.
Already faster than the Pitt record in the 200 back, and within tenths of the program mark in the 100 back, Forbes could potentially have a very big impact on the program. Additionally, she’s a significant in-state pickup for Pitt.

BAILEY ANDISON
Andison is a very impactful addition to the IU program. It’s rare to see an athlete transfer with just one year of eligibility left, but Andison should nonetheless be a very big boost to the Hoosier lineup next season.
At Denver, Andison has been a prolific IM’er. The Canada native has scored in both IM’s at NCAAs in all three seasons she’s been at Denver, including a 5th place finish in the 400 IM in 2017 and an 8th place finish in the 200 IM in 2018.
Andison is already a full second ahead of the IU team record in the 200 IM, and she’ll bring immediate All-American talent to the roster next season.

Jack Kucharczyk and Jackson Etter both announced decisions to transfer from IU to ASU recently, too.
Denver is losing a lot this year, with Anton Loncar graduating, and Bailey transferring. It will be interesting to see if they have someone who will step up and make an impact at NCAA’s
Mid-Majors aren’t easily replacing A-Finalists. But checking out their rosters – and their recruiting class coming in – They seem to be pretty loaded for a mid-major. 3/4 of their men’s scoring 200 free relay were sophomores or freshmen. I don’t think its easy at their level to replace all-americans, but they look pretty good. Wouldn’t surprise me to see another un-published Canadian or 2 coming in under the radar too.
pitt sucks i went there i know
I hear it’s rebounding now that you’re gone.
Andison must have had some significant improvement at Denver. Anyone know how fast she was when she got there?
She was about a 2:20 200IM LC, 4:56 LC 400 IM
Kind of an under-the-radar Canadian swimmer. She has a reasonable chance this year against Saltenrich-hodgson and Darcel of grabbing a PanPac spot in the 200IM behind Pickrem.
Wow. Big pick-up for Indiana.
Maybe she wants to stay and train with Lilly when she graduates
Yep pro group more important for sure
May turn into a professionsal swim school…doesn’t seem like an underdog school it’s clams.
Welcome to the family Camryn and best of luck. You’re going to love it! Hail to Pitt!
Is Andison a graduate transfer? It’s really unusual to see someone transfer with one year of eligibility like that – except if they’ve already finished their undergrad.
She still has a year left of eligibility
So much anarchy at IU…notable coach suddenly not on the roster…cuts…transfers
