Lochte wants his place in the 4×100 medley so badly so he can beat the record of number of medals won in a single olympics.
Lochte will be at beat Phelps in the 200 IM…his backstroke is better and his breaststroke at this point is much better. Phelps is tired, and Lochte will have a lead after breaststroke. Ryan will push his underwater to 13.8 meters on the freestyle leg, longer than Phelps, and though Phelps will try he will not be able to catch him. You heard it here first.
I’m not so sure. Maybe Lochte breaks out at 13.27m in his freestyle, thus giving Phelps enough distance to touch him in the back half…
Schneider, Jones, Adrian, and Irvin will all go under 22 in final
