It seems strange to me that the US would take the top six from the 100 free final, surely the relay would be faster if they put Phelps and Lochte in.

Yes I like Aaron Peirsol. He’s the greatest backstroker of all time. And he’s so cool.
What?!? I totally did not know until watching this that McCaffrey is a Mizzou guy! Also good to hear from Peirsol. He’s such a genuinely nice guy and did so much for our sport…
As Piersol said , happy to see new guys for the olympics on 200 breast ! For breastroke events, 4 different guys on the squad ! Wonderfull .

I maintain one thing ! BOBOGIGI is too pessimistic here on the women’s sprints side ! Usa was half a second behind the dutch last year in the final ! U add now a fast Schmitt to that relay and u got the strenght to challenge the dutch ! i beleive in the future 3 women’s relays all the way .
I still don’t know if you are american, english, australian, or french but if you support USA you are allowed to open your eyes. I’m french and I try to have an international view. The dutch swimmers are unbeatable. They will be much faster than last year. Ranomi Kronomidjojo is faster. And Marleen Veldhuis is much faster. USA would need 4 Missy behind the blocks.
hahahaha 4 Missy…. Schmitt is good too though. Yeah the USA will improve this summer. But the dutch will probably be faster too. We will have to wait and see
