- University of Louisville ‘B’ – 6:26.36
The Louisville ‘A’ team of Andrej Barna (1:35.89), Nicolas Albiero (1:35.31), Samuel Steele (1:35.40), and Zach Harting (1:35.42) went out to the early lead and maintained about a 1 second lead the whole way through the race. The only sub-1:35 split in the field came from Louisville ‘B’ member Marcel Acosta, who went 1:34.87.
Alright, I’m gonna go ahead and say the Cal men’s splits were wicked fast, but they have been much faster in the past. Murphy’s been 20.2 leading off and 20 high to his feet. Adrian has also been faster. Are they not fully rested? More focused on long course?
Why would they be fully rested at this meet?
There’s no chance a pro swimmer will rest for a SCY meet, they’re focused on long course almost exclusively so this meet is more about racing and having fun for them
I was impressed with Prenot going a 23.9…. He’s never pretended to be a sprinter, although he’s thrown up some decent fly splits in dual meets, and was always fast on the fly of the IM in SCY.
Adrian and MA might be closer than I thought in that 50 tomorrow.
This meet might still be on the less exciting end of the spectrum for this weekend. Gonna be a doozie the next few days.
Anyone know if any of the better invites have live streams, or am I stuck watching this’n all weekend?
wow, amazing split from phoebe bacon
the next stud coming from NCAP
