USLA Announces USA Athletes Chosen To Compete At DHL ISRC 2017

The United States Lifesaving Association is pleased to introduce the athletes chosen to represent the U.S.A. at the DHL International Surf Rescue Challenge 2017. The USLA National Team will test their skills against national teams from Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Great
Britain, and South Africa. The competition will consist of 3 grueling days of competition against the world’s best surf lifesavers starting November 30, and ending December 3, on New Zealand’s beautiful Mount Maunganui Beach.

The athletes will be led by USLA’s National Team Manager Dr. Mike Barrows and National Team Coach Tom McGibeny. The United States Lifesaving Association utilizes competition as a means to promote elite fitness levels for lifeguards, promote lifesaving sport and education around the country and offer a select few the opportunity to represent our nation as athletes and ambassadors around the world.
