Caeleb Dressel got the Gators off to a brilliant start in 18.23, tying the 2nd fastest 50 free performance of all time. The Gators led until the final 50, but Texas’ Joseph Schooling busted out an 18.34 to win it for the Longhorns. Schooling teamed up with Brett Ringgold (leadoff- 18.96), Jack Conger (18.37), and Tate Jackson (18.92) as they finished in 1:14.59. That was Ringgold’s first time under 19 from a flat start, as his previous best was a 19.07.

He was definitely swimming and competing during the fall semester.
Oh, I’m sure Tom saw that record go down, alright.
He spent too much time setting up that Joseph Schooling School for Kids Who Don’t Swim Good.
In the full interview he says NC State aren’t their favorite team. Love it. Gets really old hearing the same “they’re a great team, great group of guys, it’s an honor to race them” yada yada.
How do you know this?
It’s actually at the end of the video in this article.

“Got back on my juice cycle in December”
I really want to know if him and Jack are friends or they hate each other because to me it looks like there’s some hostility
I think they are good friend, Schooling’s instagram showed them went to a lot of places, hang out together. They also posed their Olympics ring tattoo together after they went back to Texas.
He talked about Conger after his 50 free at B12 at here:

it will one day be over ……nothing too concerning .
Schooling is pretty intense, that’s for sure. He seemed angry when Jack went faster in prelims last year in the 200 fly. That’s just the type of guy Schooling is. And, it’s probably why he’s also a gold medalist.
He does it so much more elegantly than Lilly King
thats not difficult ……
