Update: The NCAA changed the pre selection psych sheet (it’s unofficial, that can happen). Jack Saunderson of Towson dropped from 26th to 32nd based on a time change. This bumped Angel Martinez of Texas A&M onto the 29 line and into the meet. Ben Cono of Loyola also dropped from 23rd to 36th. This bumped in Clayton Forde of Georgia from line 30. The pre-selection 2017 men’s NCAA championship entries were released last night by the NCAA. These sheets don’t show who is invited to the championship, rather is a list of everyone who’s been nominated by their coach with at least a ‘b’ cut. This allows us to check where the cut lines are expected to fall if nothing changes before the NCAA releases the invited list.
A refresher: The NCAA will go through, event by event, and add one swimmer to each, until a certain “line” (aka, all 25th-ranked swimmers) puts the field over the maximum 235 individual entries (270 total minus 35 places for divers. Swimmers with more than one entry under the cut line only count once towards the cap). At that point, swimmers will be invited based on who is the closest to the NCAA Championship Record in their event. Everyone ranked 29th or higher should be invited. There are then 3 slots left on line 30. These go to:

There has been a change in the pre-selection list. Someone is out of the 200 fly, because the rankings now have Angel Martinez at 29.

Good catch. It was Jack Saunderson of Towson. His time was revised from 1:43.05 to 1:43.44. Updated qualifiers here is quite simple. Saunderson is out as his highest ranking event is now 32nd. Martinez is now on the 29 line so he is in. Thomas Anderson replaces Martinez as second alternate
And by Anderson I mean Mick Litherland. Anderson remains 3rd alternate.
Also Ben Cono went from 52.50 to 52.83, 23rd to 36th place. I think his results from ECACs must have been ruled ineligible as well.
The new 29th and 30th in that event (Klein and Castillo Luna) are already in the meet, so that would mean Hinawi is in now.

Good catch. In this case, Clayton Forde should be pulled in, because the new #29 in the 100 breaststroke Chris Klein from Michigan is already qualified in the 200 breaststroke.
