The St. Bonaventure University women’s swimming and diving team will be in action at the Reilly Center Pool to host Cornell in a dual meet on Friday.
The Bonnies last competed at Binghamton on Saturday afternoon and earned a 165-131 win.
The Brown and White finished first in 12 of the 16 total events, including first-place finishes in the first six of the afternoon. Devon McFadden earned wins in three events: the 100 and 200-backstroke events, and the 200-IM. Michaela Ryan nabbed two first-place finishes in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle events, while Maria Rocchi swept the breaststroke events. Maggie Woods and Rachel Taylor took the top-two spots in the 200-freestyle. On the diving board, Brittany Hart won both events for the Bonnies.
The Big Red come into the RC capturing wins in their last two meets over Columbia (Jan. 14) and Calvin College (Dec. 29). Against Columbia, The Big Red won 10 of the 14 swimming events to pick up its second Ivy victory of the year. Kimmy Vitek (283.27) edged out teammate Jackie Real (281.48) to lead a 1-2-3-4 Big Red sweep in the 3-meter dive. Ellie Belilos finished first in a pair of events, coming out on top in both the 50 (23.94) and 100-freestyle (52.31).
Action at the RC Pool is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. with diving and 3:30 p.m. for swimming.
