The Boston College swim team returned to action after a six week break to host Marist. For the women it was the first victory over Marist in five years, 156-144. The men cruised to a win, 213-87.
Recap
- The women swept the 200 Medley Relay to get the Eagles off to a great start. Caroline Quindlen, Taylor Covington, Victoria Lin and Grace Kunkel took first (149.61), Ina Elcott, Alison McDonough, Hope Dragelin and Julie Dobson took second (1:50.99), and Katherine Karle, Dakota Meyer, Sarah Hanning and Maria Abrams took third (1:53.60).
- The men finished first and second in the 200 Medley Relay. The first place team finished in 1:34.04. The team was made up of Josh Williams, McKenzie Cole, Taylor Cortens and Colin Derdeyn. Daniel Creighton, Billy Miller, David Howard and Nicolas Junghahn took second (1:35.43).
- Anthony Richardson continues to have a great senior campaign. He came out with four victories – the 1,000 yd. freestyle, 100 yd. freestyle, 500 yd. freestyle and 400 yd. freestyle – as well as a new school record in the 1000 free (9:24.47), and a new personal record in the 100 free (45.74).
- Senior captains Conor Chamness and Josh Williams finished first and second in the 100 yd. backstroke, clocking in at 51.47 and 52.16.
- The women swept the 100 yd. & 200 yd. breaststroke. Freshman Taylor Covington took first in the 100 (107.26) followed by Jamie Doherty in second (1:10.61), Dakota Meyer placed third (1:11.20). Senior captain Abigail Kordell was first in the 200 (2:31.75) followed again by Doherty in second (2:33.34), Meyer in third (2:33.42) and McDonough in fourth (2:34.53).
- The team swept the 100 yd. and 200 yd. butterfly. Freshman Victoria Lin took first in both events, clocking in at 2:09.28 in the 200 and 58.60 in the 100.
- Senior captain Cole Malatesta swept the diving events with a score of 316.20 in the 1 m. and 327.75 in the 3 m. Jack McCarthy took second in the 3 m. with a score of 275.48.
- Colin Derdeyn turned in a dual meet best time in the 100 yard butterfly in 51.93 and a first place finish.
- Taylor Cortens picked up four victories on the day – 200 yd. medley relay (1:34.04), 200 yd. butterfly (1:54.18), 200 yd. backstroke (1:53.73) and 200 yd. IM (1:56.88).
- Freshman Lauren Quinn and sophomore Erika Freeman took first and second in the 200 IM.

The Eagles will travel to play at Tufts University on Tuesday.
