The Minnesota Gophers will bring in 3 more divers next season, with the men picking up 2 and the women adding 1. The women will be joined by Jenelle Crozier, while Maxim Royzen and Duncan Lester join the men.
JENELLE CROZIER:
Crozier is a native of Littleton, Colorado, where she currently attends Chatfield High School. So far, she’s made 2 appearances at the USA Synchronized Diving National Championships, competing in the 14-18 age group. At the Colorado 5A State Championships, Crozier has placed in the top 10 for the past 2 seasons. She finished 7th in the 2015 state meet and 10th in the 2016 state meet. As a junior last season, she was given the Jefferson County League All-Conference Champion Award.
MAXIM ROYZEN:
Royzen is currrently residing in Skokie, Illinois, where he attends Niles North Community High School and competes for Windy City Diving. Last season, Royzen qualified to compete in the 2016 AT&T National Diving Championships. He placed 16th at that meet in the 16-18 division of the 1-meter. He’s also won multiple state titles at the Illinois Diving Association Championships, and earned all-conference, all-state and All-America honors.
DUNCAN LESTER:
Lester is from Boulder, Colorado, where he’s a school record holder at Fairview High School and dives for the Mile High Dive Club. One of his most recent accomplishments was competing in the 1-meter and platform diving events at the 2016 AT&T National Diving Championships. Lester has been a championship finalist at the last 2 Colorado 5A State Championships, finishing 7th in 2015 and 5th in 2016.
