Kelsey Childress from Lynchburg, Virginia has committed to Canisius College beginning next fall. Childress swims for Brookville High School and Lynchburg YMCA Swim Team. “I am excited to go to Canisius. I love swimming so I can’t wait for the next four years to see where my journey takes me.”

Childress is a primarily an IMer who expects to compete in the IMs and 200s of strokes at Canisius. In club swimming Childress had a strong summer season, culminating in the Virginia Long Course Senior Championships. She improved her long course personal bests in the 100/200 breast, 100/200 fly, and 200/400 IM. Her best yards times are:

  • 200 fly: 2:12.99
  • 200 back: 2:12.60
  • 200 breast: 2:28.71
