West Chester Picks Up Keir Uhlin and Jarod Anderson for 2017-18

Keir Uhlin of Warwick High School in Lititz, Pennsylvania and Jarod Anderson from Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania have both committed to swim for West Chester University beginning in the 2017-18 season.

Uhlin excels in the longer freestyle races, 400 IM, and 200 fly. He represented Warwick at the 2016 Pennsylvania AAA Boys State Championships, swimming the 200/500 free double. He finished 17th in the former and 12th in the latter. Uhlin swims year-round for Middle Atlantic’s Diplomat Swim Club. He improved his LCM 100/200 butterfly times this summer, and in short course season he renewed all his distance free times.

Jarod Anderson

Anderson is a breaststroke and IM specialist who swims year-round for WSY Swimming (West Shore YMCA) in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He came in third in the 100 breast and 8th in the 200 IM at the 2016 Pennsylvania AA Boys State Championships. During the summer season he updated all his LCM times. He had a particularly good meet at YMCA Long Course National Championships, finaling in the 100/200 breast and 200 IM and earning new PBs in each event. He picked up his first Winter Juniors cut in the 100 breast at that meet.
