The votes are in, and there are new programs atop the men’s and women’s NCAA rankings: NC State and Stanford lead the November 9 CSCAA (College Swimming Coaches Association of America) polls.
Coming off of a massive upset of two-time defending NCAA champs Texas, the NC State Wolfpack jumped from 3rd to 1st in this week’s Division I rankings. They move past former #1s Indiana, with the Hoosiers now checking in 2nd with Texas just behind.
On the women’s side, it’s a Stanford program leading the way after spending last week at #2. The Cardinal has been crushing things this fall, both in the pool and in recruiting, and they now lead the CSCAA rankings by 18 points over Georgia.
Georgia had its own big rise, jumping 6 spots to the 2-slot. Former #1 Michigan fell all the way to 5th in this week’s poll.

Cubs win World Series. Trump wins Presidency. Stanford is #1.

UNC men can’t get discouraged by this. It’s a long season with plenty of chances to try and get a win.
Well their next meet is NCSU invite… I don’t like their chance against NC State in an invite setting (or any setting)
Not get discouraged???? Their team
Is getting worse every year and you have a young coach who just coached multiple Olympic medalists on the sideline ready (and just got named a world head coach)
Not saying that Stanford Women aren’t amazing this year. But, don’t you think saying “The Cardinal has been crushing things this fall, both in the pool and in recruiting” is quite a stretch? … especially considering they haven’t had a meet since the last poll. And, the meets they had prior to that poll were very mediocre as far as times go. But there’s no question about your recruiting claim.
…..don’t poke the Bear (..well Cardinal)
