Razorbacks Open SEC Competition With Back-to-Back Home Meets

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Razorbacks jump into SEC competition on Thursday, Nov. 3, as Arkansas welcomes the No. 18 Florida Gators to the Arkansas Natatorium at 6 p.m. Arkansas will host the South Carolina Gamecocks the following evening on Friday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m.
Arkansas is coming off a 128-77 victory over the No. 1 Division II team, Drury Panthers, on Oct. 14, that saw junior diver Nicole Gillis break a pool and school record in the one-meter springboard with a score of 334.28, qualifying for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
No. 18 Florida Gators (1-5)
Florida comes to Fayetteville ranked as the No. 18 team in the nation and will mark the first of four teams Arkansas will face this season in dual meet competition that finished in the Top 40 at the NCAA Championships last year as the Gators finished 19th. The Razorbacks are looking for their first ever victory against Florida as the Razorbacks are 0-6 all-time against the Gators.
The Gators’ losses this season have all been against top-15 competition with losses to No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Georgia and No. 12 Indiana. Florida’s lone victory was against in-state rival Florida State.
While at Florida last season, Arkansas’ diving coach Dale Schultz was named the SEC Women’s Diving Coach of the Year.
South Carolina Gamecocks (0-2)
The Gamecocks will be the second of four teams Arkansas will face this season in dual meet competition that finished in the Top 40 at the NCAA Championships last year as South Carolina finished 29th.
Arkansas is 4-8 all-time against the Gamecocks and is looking for its third straight victory against South Carolina.
The Gamecocks’ two losses this season have come against No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 21 Kentucky.

Thursday night’s meet against Florida is the University of Arkansas ASG Student Appreciation Night. University of Arkansas students can enter to win a Yeti Tundra 45 Cooler, a $200 gift card to Hog Heaven or an official wooden Arkansas cornhole set.
The first 75 fans in attendance to Thursday’s meet will receive a “bounce back” card that is redeemable for an official Arkansas Razorback Swimming and Diving beach towel at Friday’s meet.
