Georgia 1-5A Runner-Up Allie Reiter Verbally Commits to UNC

Allie Reiter, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Dunwoody, Georgia, has verbally committed to the University of North Carolina for 2017-18.

“I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to the University of North Carolina! I’m thrilled to be apart of such an amazing swimming and academic program!! I can’t wait to be a tar heel!” [sic]

Reiter swims for Dunwoody High School and Dynamo Swim Club and specializes primarily in breaststroke. She was runner-up in the 100 breast (1:02.68) at the 2016 GHSA 1-5A State Swimming & Diving Meet, only .30 behind the winner. She also placed sixth in the 200 IM (2:05.59) and swam legs on Dunwoody’s first-place 4×50 free (24.24) and 4×100 free (52.35) relays.

Reiter had an excellent junior year; she achieved all of her personal best times in the breaststroke and IM events during the 2015-16 season. Her top SCY times include:

  • 50 breast – 30.70
  • 100 breast – 1:02.68
  • 200 breast – 2:19.75
  • 200 IM – 2:05.59
  • 400 IM – 4:31.78

Reiter will show up in Chapel Hill with the rest of the verbal commits to the University of North Carolina class of 2021:
