TCU Swimming & Diving Set to Open Season This Weekend

The TCU swimming and diving team will open the 2016-17 season on Friday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at the North Texas Pentathlon before welcoming the UT-Permian Basin Falcons to the TCU Recreation Center Natatorium at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

This marks the fourth-straight year the Horned Frogs will begin their season in Denton and the second-consecutive year they will host UTPB in their home opener.

Friday’s exhibition will feature each swimmer competing in the 100 fly, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 free and the 100 IM.

On Saturday, TCU will look to replicate their success from 2015 as they won 14 events at last year’s meet against the Falcons.

The TCU swimming and diving team welcomes back 22 men and 19 women, while adding 9 men and 14 women over the offseason.
